UV PROTECTION
UV sun rays have long been recognized as damaging to the skin. But ultraviolet rays are also damaging to hair and contribute to hair color fading. L'ANZA utilizes full-spectrum UV protectors to shield haircolor from harmful UV rays, assuring maximum fade protection.
COLOR PROTECTIVE FORMULAS
L'ANZA's exclusive healing formulas are not only color-safe, they also help hair color last longer by reconstructing damaged fibers. Damaged hair is porous, allowing color pigments to leak out from the hair fiber. When hair is properly restored and sealed, color pigments are locked deep within the fiber for a longer-lasting hair color.
HIGH-TEMPERATURE PROTECTION
L'ANZA products provide an extra measure of thermal protection. Our exclusive healing formulas protect hair from the most intense heat. Its healing action seals the hair, providing an effective shield against thermal trauma. Heat penetrates less deeply into the hair's cortex of a reconstructed hair fiber to cause structural damage.
FRIZZ PROTECTION
Humidity is atmospheric moisture consisting of tiny particulate water droplets suspended in the air. The problem with humidity is that it causes frizz. Even slightly porous hair will absorb atmospheric moisture, similar to a sponge absorbing water. When this occurs, hair fibers swell and enlarge, pushing the cuticle outwards and creating unwanted frizz. The key to preventing frizz is to reduce porosity and keep atmospheric moisture out. This is exactly what L'ANZA products do. The Keratin Healing System reconstructs hair and seals it, protecting hair from humidity and unwanted frizz. Because of this healing action, all L'ANZA products provide the highest possible frizz protection.

SULFATE-FREE SURFACTANTS
All shampoos contain surfactants, which provide cleansing action and lather. They help break the surface tension of water, allowing it to better remove oils and dirt from the hair. Surfactants are divided into two types: sulfate and non-sulfate.
Thanks to L'ANZA's technology, we have been able to develop blends of non-sulfate surfactants that provide a rich lather in our sulfate-free shampoos. There are also non-sulfate-based surfactants that are just as effective at gently cleansing hair. These sulfate-free blends are milder and have been proven to extend the life of hair color.
NATURE'S SURFACTANT | POLYNESIAN GUGO BARK
Gugo bark has been used for centuries by indigenous Polynesians as a natural surfactant to gently refresh and purify hair. The extract from the bark produces abundant lather that removes impurities without stripping essential oils or nutrients from the hair. To provide gentle cleansing and abundant lather, L'ANZA uses gugo bark in all Advanced Healing Shampoos.
SODIUM CHLORIDE-FREE SHAMPOOS
Sodium chloride, also known as salt, has long been used in shampoos as a thickening agent. However, many smoothing systems advise their clients not to use shampoos containing sodium chloride, as it can disrupt the chemicals that smooth the hair. For this reason, L'ANZA has formulated our Advanced Healing Shampoos without sodium chloride. Our shampoos are safe and effective to use with smoothing systems.

All L'ANZA Advanced Healing products use paraben-free ingredients to protect against a wide range of microorganisms. Additionally, all L'ANZA products are gluten-free.
